a. Susan Bayless, Chair of the Keep Englewood Beautiful Commission, will present the
2009 Holiday Lighting Awards.
 
 
b. Jackie Edwards will be present to speak regarding Medical Cannabis.
 
 
c. James Murkland, Director of the North American Cannabis Co-op, will be present to
speak to City Council.
 
 
8. Communications, Proclamations, and Appointments.
a. Letter from Keep Englewood Beautiful Commission member Mila Pilz advising of her resignation from the commission.
 

9. Consent Agenda Items.    
 
a. Approval of Ordinances on First Reading.
i. Council Bill No. 55 — Recommendation from the Utilities Department to adopt
a bill for an ordinance authorizing a Wastewater Connector’s Agreement
between Country Homes Metropolitan District and the City of Englewood.

ii. Council Bill No. 56 — Recommendation from the Public Works Department to
adopt a bill for an ordinance approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with
the Denver Regional Council of Government (DRCOG) for the 2009 Traffic
Signal System Equipment Purchase program. This IGA will allow DRCOG to
reimburse the City of Englewood for the cost of traffic signal system
equipment (to be purchased by the City in 2010) in an amount up to $17,000.

iii. Council Bill No. 57 — Recommendation from the Public Works Department to
adopt a bill for an ordinance approving a contract with the Colorado
Department of Transportation (CDOT) for Traffic Control Devices Operation
and Maintenance functions on state highways to be provided by the City of
Englewood. The agreement will allow CDOT to reimburse the City for costs of
these maintenance services in the amount of $67,416.24 per year. STAFF

iv. Council Bill No. 58 — Recommendation from the Community Development
Department to adopt a bill for an ordinance authorizing an Intergovernmental
Agreement between the City of Englewood and the Regional Transportation
District for cost sharing for operation of the art Shuttle for 2010. STAFF

b. Approval of Ordinances on Second Reading.
i. Council Bill No. 51, approving the City Ditch License Agreement and
Construction Easement from South Suburban Parks & Recreation for two water
lines crossing the City Ditch at Windermere and Belleview.
ii. Council Bill No. 54, approving a Standard Connector’s Agreement with Cherry
Hills Heights Water and Sanitation District.
 
c. Resolutions and Motions.
i. Recommendation from the Community Development Department to approve,
by motion, a contract with MV Public Transportation for the operation of the

i. Recommendation from the Utilities Department to approve, by motion, a bid
for rehabilitation of the exterior of the Sherman elevated water storage tank.
Staff recommends awarding the bid to the lowest qualified bidder, H&R

a. Proposed settlement agreement with the State of Colorado regarding natural resource
damage claims related to the Lowry Landfill. The Littleton/Englewood Wastewater
Treatment Plant’s share is $52,088.98 of which the City of Englewood’s share is
$26,044.49.
